The Role
As the Night Operations Manager, you will hold the reins of the overnight response team. You will lead a dedicated dispatch and engineering crew, ensuring that urgent drainage requests, environmental hazards, and customer emergencies are dealt with swiftly and safely.
Key Responsibilities
- Shift Leadership: Oversee the nightly operations team, tracking job progression and ensuring field engineers are deployed effectively to emergency callouts.
- SLA & Performance Management: Ensure the hub hits strict turnaround times for reactive drainage work, pollution control, and internal flooding issues.
- Escalation Point: Act as the senior point of contact overnight for any operational hurdles, safety concerns, or complex logistical roadblocks.
- Data & Handover Management: Monitor job management systems to ensure precise data logging, workforce compliance, and clear handovers for the morning shift.
What the Client Looks For
- Operations Background: Experience managing fast-paced environments like logistics, utilities, emergency services, or drainage/wastewater.
- Night Shift Capability: Proven resilience and comfort working consistent 12-hour night shifts.
- Decisive Leadership: The ability to make confident, standalone decisions when standard day-office support is unavailable.
- Availability: Ready for an immediate start on a 6-month contract basis.
