Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivery of the Place Management workstream programme and budget, including the development and delivery of an annual plan.
  • Managing the Place Management working group and ensuring strong membership and skill set spread.
  • Collaborate with partners to respond to challenges in the nighttime economy.
  • Work with the business engagement team to promote place management initiatives.
  • Nurture relationships with partners to enhance project success.
  • Manage partners and contractors to ensure timely and budget-compliant delivery of action plans.
  • Support the rollout of projects and business crime initiatives.
  • Oversee the management of the city’s radio scheme and ensure member compliance.
  • Provide communication content to promote best practices in place management.
  • Oversee operational public realm projects to create a welcoming environment.

Key Skills:

  • Experience in facilities management, public realm operations, or urban regeneration.
  • Project/operations management, business planning, and budget management skills.
  • Understanding of Business Improvement Districts and appreciation of Cardiff.
  • Proactive, hands-on approach with a passion for improving city environments.
  • Experience in managing and controlling budgets.
  • Ability to engage and influence public and private stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills with a range of stakeholders.
  • Team player with experience in partnership working.
  • Knowledge of urban challenges and opportunities.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.

Salary (Rate): £36,400
