About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Operations Event Manager to join our team on an 8-month contract. This is a hands-on opportunity for a proactive event professional to take ownership of the planning and delivery of a portfolio of international events.

You will be responsible for managing event operations from planning through to on-site execution, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will coordinate suppliers, logistics, budgets, and event technology to create exceptional event experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end operational planning and delivery for a portfolio of international events.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and event schedules.
  • Oversee event budgets, supplier contracts, purchase orders, and financial reporting.
  • Coordinate venues, catering, audiovisual services, production, registration, and other event logistics.
  • Lead on-site event operations and ensure a seamless attendee experience.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, sponsors, venues, and internal stakeholders.
  • Manage event technology platforms, including registration and attendee engagement systems.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety, accessibility, and sustainability standards.
  • Identify, manage, and mitigate operational risks while providing regular project updates.
  • Complete post-event evaluations and oversee any outstanding follow-up activities.

What We're Looking For

  • 3-5 years of experience in event operations within B2B conferences, exhibitions, or events.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple events independently from planning to delivery.
  • Strong project management, budget management, and supplier negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to take ownership of existing projects and deliver results within project timelines.
  • Experience working on international events is advantageous.
