Summary: The Operational Technology Support Engineer is responsible for providing technical support in live manufacturing environments, focusing on operational and manufacturing technology. This role requires collaboration with various technical teams to ensure the seamless integration of systems and infrastructure. The engineer will monitor and enhance operational technology platforms while managing risks associated with hardware and software. Strong communication skills are essential for resolving complex technical issues across departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Operational/Manufacturing hardware and software implementations, ensuring connectivity to infrastructure
- Provide technical ops support and system administration for operational systems
- Monitor, operate, and enhance complex Operational Technology platforms and equipment
- Act as the conduit between Operations, Quality Control, third parties, and IT to resolve complex technical issues
- Provide hands-on operational support for installed solutions
- Manage risks associated with software and hardware
- Contribute to use cases, process flow documents, test plans/scripts, and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) where required
Key Skills:
- Experience working in Operational/Manufacturing environments (e.g. Pharma, CNI, Manufacturing)
- Deep technical experience with IT Infrastructure technologies - Active Directory, Networking, System Administration
- Ability to produce system implementation and operational documents/procedures
- Knowledge of Windows OS & Storage systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working in GMP/GxP environments
- Knowledge of Purdue frameworks (desirable)
- Technical knowledge of OT computing & security principles (desirable)
