Operational Risk Manager

Summary: The Operational Risk Manager will serve as a Risk Partner within the 1st Line Operational Risk team for a financial services client in London. This role involves guiding business functions in risk management, embedding a risk culture, and enhancing decision-making to mitigate operational risks. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure compliance with risk frameworks and effective risk reporting. The role is hybrid, requiring two days a week in the office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Stakeholder engagement and management
• Help business functions manage risks to support business objectives
• Embed a risk management framework and culture
• Enhance decision-making while reducing operational risk
• Work closely with Risk owners, control owners, and 2nd line of defense team
• Conduct risk assessments and ownership of treatment
• Implement training and awareness campaigns for risk management
• Maintain and report on risk registers
• Conduct risk deep dive activities
• Establish governance arrangements for risk practices
• Evaluate risk exposures and monitor inherent and residual risks
• Provide risk briefings to colleagues
• Perform Risk and Control Self-Assessments
• Partner with Lines of Business to identify and resolve issues

Key Skills:
