Summary: The Operational Resilience Consultant/SME role involves joining a tech-forward insurance company to address specific regulatory gaps within their Operational Resilience function. The position requires producing high-quality outputs for the COO and Executive Committees that align with PRA/FCA requirements. The consultant will work closely with impact tolerance frameworks and risk assessments, focusing on operational resilience in a regulated environment. This role is primarily on-site in central London for three days a week and is classified as outside IR35 for a duration of three months.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Focus on identified regulatory gaps in Operational Resilience
  • Produce board quality outputs for COO and Executive Committees
  • Develop clear business cases in line with PRA/FCA requirements
  • Implement impact tolerance frameworks and conduct self-assessments
  • Perform 4th party Application Mapping & Risk Assessment
  • Conduct Dependency Mapping and Risk Profiling
  • Validate recovery processes
  • Utilize solid technical/systems knowledge
  • Engage in BCP/DR planning and testing
  • Work within a regulated industry, preferably with insurance experience

Operational Resilience Consultant/SME - Insurance

Our sister company Stellarmann is partnering with a tech-forward insurance company who are seeking an experienced Operational Resilience Specialist to join their established Operational Resilience function. This role will be focusing on two specific, well-scoped gaps which have been identified by regulators. Both workstreams must result in board quality outputs for the COO and Executive Committees that are inline with PRA/FCA requirements including clear, compelling business cases.

Required Experience:

  • Strong knowledge of UK Operational Resilience regulation (PRA/FCA)
  • Experience with impact tolerance frameworks and board level self assessments
  • 4th party Application Mapping & Risk Assessment
  • Dependency Mapping
  • Risk Profiling
  • Recovery Validation
  • Solid technical/systems knowledge
  • Ideally good appreciation of BCP/DR planning and testing
  • Expereince working within a regulated industry

This role requires someone to work onsite in the client office in central London 3 days per week and is an Outside IR35 opportunity for 3 months.
