Summary: The Operational Excellence Transformation Manager will lead a 6-month contract focused on driving business transformation and improving operational performance within a leading advanced technology and manufacturing company. This role involves partnering with senior leaders to analyze performance, identify improvement opportunities, and implement sustainable change initiatives. The position is integral to a CEO-sponsored transformation program aimed at enhancing productivity across multiple sites. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and stakeholder management experience to deliver measurable results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse demand, inventory, capacity and production performance to identify improvement opportunities.
- Conduct process confirmations and operational reviews to validate findings and assumptions.
- Engage with stakeholders across all levels of the business to understand current-state operations.
- Facilitate workshops and improvement sessions with site leadership teams.
- Present recommendations, business insights and transformation plans to senior stakeholders and executive sponsors.
- Develop future-state processes, operating models and operational layouts using lean methodologies.
- Create and drive Tactical Implementation Plans to deliver both short-term improvements and long-term transformation.
- Coach and support process owners to build capability and embed continuous improvement practices.
- Track and communicate the impact of operational improvements on key business metrics including productivity, capacity, inventory and revenue.
Key Skills:
- Degree qualified in a relevant discipline or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven experience delivering operational excellence, business transformation, continuous improvement or change programmes.
- Experience within manufacturing, engineering, operations or complex business environments.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word capability.
- Experience analysing operational data and translating insights into actionable recommendations.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to facilitate workshops and lead cross-functional teams.
- Understanding of lean principles, process improvement and operational performance metrics.
- Commercial awareness with an appreciation of cost, quality, reliability and operational efficiency.

The Role
