Summary: The IT Operational Contracts Manager role involves overseeing operational contracts for a leading higher education institution in West Yorkshire. The position requires proactive management of contract processes, collaboration with internal teams and external contractors, and ensuring compliance with service delivery terms. This hybrid role offers a competitive daily rate and requires strong contract management experience. The successful candidate will play a key role in enhancing contract management practices within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end contract processes, ensuring compliance and smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Oversee the creation and management of Statements of Work (SOW) with third-party contractors.
  • Collaborate with administrative and finance teams to ensure accurate invoicing and financial processes.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of contract management templates, policies, and procedures.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for both internal teams and external contractors, providing expert guidance.
  • Ensure the effective execution of contractual obligations and service delivery.
  • Attend Senior Leadership Team (SLT) meetings as the Programmes commercial/contract manager lead.
  • Work with the Programme admin team and finance business partner to ensure proper receipt and processing of invoices.
  • Manage contracts with the 3rd party systems integrator, Resulting, and other contractors on a day-to-day basis.
  • Oversee the 3rd party systems integrator under their new statement of work and assist in the creation of subsequent statements of work.

Key Skills:

  • Strong experience in contract management, ideally within both the public and private sectors.
  • Proven experience managing complex contracts and Statements of Work (SOW).
  • Solid understanding of financial processes related to contracts.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple contracts and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • MCIPS qualification preferred but not essential.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Salary (Rate): 400
