Summary: The role of On-site Systems Engineer in Farnborough involves supporting the AMPA programme, which is crucial for the delivery and growth of the Advanced Mission Planning Aid used by the RAF and foreign Air Forces. The Systems Engineer will be responsible for maintaining computing facilities, providing project support, and ensuring system performance and availability. Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure availability of facilities for the AMPA team to deliver contracted support and change requirements.
• Provide access to the Project Support Environment for AMPA requirements.
• Offer internal system help desk support to AMPA staff.
• Maintain a schedule of work for administration and maintenance of facilities.
• Undertake System Administration tasks as per the System Team Backlog.
• Monitor and report on environment performance.
• Manage system performance and availability, ensuring data backup and restoration capabilities.
• Work within the AMPA Quality Management System and defined procedures.
• Provide licensing support and obtain quotes for software used on the account.
• Participate in weekend working for software patching and be on call for rare occurrences.

Key Skills:
