Summary: The role of OLE CAD Technician involves supporting rail design projects through high-quality 2D/3D CAD modelling and drawing management. The position is based in Speke, Liverpool, and requires expertise in BIM and CAD reporting. The technician will collaborate with engineers to ensure compliance with standards and smooth project delivery. This is an on-site, full-time position with a contract duration of 3–6 months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and manage CAD models and drawings in Bentley MicroStation V8i
- Support design development and ensure compliance with standards
- Organise and maintain CAD files
- Produce CAD quality reports and technical documents
- Collaborate with engineers for smooth project delivery
Key Skills:
- Skilled in 2D/3D drafting with MicroStation V8i
- Strong BIM knowledge and CAD QA/reporting
- Experienced with ProjectWise
- Strong communication and teamwork
- Understanding of rail project life cycles
- Experience in related engineering disciplines
- Familiarity with Bentley Rail Track and OS Digital Mapping
- Revit experience is a plus
