Summary: The Oil & Gas Surface and Contract Analyst is responsible for managing surface-related lease and contract data, ensuring accuracy and compliance. This role involves collaborating with various teams, interpreting contracts, and assisting with land operations and special projects. The analyst will also engage with stakeholders and drive improvements in data integrity and contract management processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze, interpret, input, and update surface-related lease and contract data.
- Assist with monthly calendars for payments, expirations, and obligations related to surface assets.
- Support Land Operations Teams and track contractual obligations for surface acquisitions.
- Assist with special projects in the Land Administration department.
- Interpret contracts and leases, resolving technical and data-related issues.
- Process and track partner offers and maintain necessary records.
- Prepare agreement exhibits and lease/acreage reports for management.
- Serve as a primary contact for landowners and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with various teams within the organization.
- Drive results by taking ownership of projects and meeting deadlines.
- Innovate ways to analyze and present data to management.
- Participate in the design and execution of surface asset management plans.
Key Skills:
- Prior experience in Oil & Gas Surface work.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of Quorum Land System/SAP is a plus.
- Ability to work under deadlines on multiple projects.
- Experience handling confidential company data.
- Knowledge of basic land principles and terminology.
- 4+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and adaptability.
