Summary: The Offshore Export Cable Supply Project Engineer will provide technical expertise in export cable design and related activities for a major operator in the wind sector. This contract role, based in central London with hybrid working arrangements, involves coordinating with various teams and managing technical interfaces for both onshore and offshore projects. The position is expected to start in late May or early June and has a duration of over two years. The role is classified as outside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical expertise on export cable design, qualification, manufacture, quality management, testing, and commissioning activities.
- Coordinate loadout planning and schedules with T&I colleagues.
- Lead cable design and cable rating verification calculations.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, specifications, and procedures related to cable design and testing.
- Review study results and design documents to ensure compliance with Employer requirements.
- Manage and coordinate technical interfaces and support clarification meetings with Contractors.
- Support interfaces with onshore landfall and offshore substation packages.
