Summary: The Offshore 66kV SAP role involves ensuring safe working practices and compliance with health and safety regulations while working on the Dogger Bank wind farm. The position requires the individual to perform SAP duties, produce switching schedules, and assist in the testing and commissioning of high voltage systems. The role is based offshore in the UK with a rotation schedule of 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off, starting in January 2025 for a duration of 6 months with potential extensions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure safe working practices are in place and report incidents.
- Undertake risk assessments and audits, promoting a positive Health and Safety culture.
- Perform SAP duties as required, reporting to Lead SAP.
- Produce and review switching schedules.
- Provide isolations and safety documentation for Dogger Bank wind farm.
- Work under project High Voltage safety rules.
- Assist in the testing and commissioning of HV/LV systems.
- Provide personal supervision if required.
- Conduct and review point of work risk assessments.
- Drive the commissioning process by representing project standards for safety and quality.
- Support commissioning engineers during walkdowns.
Key Skills:
- Full GWO: Sea Survival, First Aid, Manual Handling, Fire Awareness, Working at Heights.
- Offshore medical certificate including Chester Step.
- Offshore HUET.
- Knowledge of WTG WTSR.
- Knowledge of Electrical Safety Rules.
- ONC/HNC or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering.
- Current Senior Authorised Person authorisation to 66KV or above.
