Summary: The Offshore 66kV SAP role involves providing safety from the system under client electrical safety rules in the offshore wind sector. The position requires the individual to carry out isolations, earthing, and safety documentation while ensuring compliance with health and safety practices. The role is based offshore, mobilising from Northeast England, with a rotation of 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off. The contract is for 6 months with a likely extension, and the position is classified as inside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure safe working practices are in place, reporting incidents, undertaking risk assessments and audits, promoting a positive Health and Safety culture.
- SAP duties as required reporting to Lead SAP.
- Producing and reviewing switching schedules.
- Provide isolations and safety documentation for the project.
- Working under client High Voltage safety rules (Model Distribution Safety Rules).
- Assisting in the testing and commissioning of HV/LV systems.
- Provide personal supervision if required.
- Conduct and review point of work risk assessments.
Key Skills:
- Full GWO: Sea Survival, First Aid, Manual Handling, Fire Awareness, Working at Heights.
- Offshore medical certificate including Chester Step.
- Offshore HUET.
- Knowledge of WTG WTSR.
- Knowledge of Electrical Safety Rules.
- ONC/HNC or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering.
- Current Senior Authorised Person authorisation to 66KV or above.

Previous offshore windfarm or 66kV experience essential.
