Offshore 66kV SAP

Summary: The role of Offshore 66kV Senior Authorised Person (SAP) involves ensuring safety compliance under electrical safety rules while working offshore, specifically in the wind farm sector. The position requires expertise in isolations, earthing, and safety documentation, with a focus on promoting a positive health and safety culture. Candidates must possess relevant offshore experience and certifications, with responsibilities including risk assessments and assisting in high voltage system testing. The role is based offshore with a rotation of 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off, starting ASAP for a duration of 6 months with potential for extension.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure safe working practices are in place, reporting incidents, undertaking risk assessments and audits, promoting a positive Health and Safety culture.
• SAP duties as required reporting to Lead SAP.
• Producing and reviewing switching schedules.
• Provide isolations and safety documentation for the project.
• Working under client High Voltage safety rules (Model Distribution Safety Rules).
• Assisting in the testing and commissioning of HV/LV systems.
• Provide personal supervision if required.
• Conduct and review point of work risk assessments.

Key Skills:

• Full GWO: Sea Survival, First Aid, Manual Handling, Fire Awareness, Working at Heights.
• Offshore medical certificate including Chester Step.
• Offshore HUET.
• Knowledge of WTG WTSR.
• Knowledge of Electrical Safety Rules.
• ONC/HNC or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering.
• Current Senior Authorised Person authorisation to 66KV or above.

Salary (Rate): £750 daily
