Summary: The Ocean Freight Operator role at EV Cargo involves managing the end-to-end process of import shipments, ensuring compliance and effective communication with clients and partners. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage import shipments from booking stage through to delivery and job file completion
  • Complete import customs declarations in line with UK compliance
  • Liaise with clients to manage haulage arrangements
  • Raise client invoices and ensure accurate job costing
  • Coordinate and verify customs and port health documentation
  • Communicate professionally with overseas partners, clients, and internal teams
  • Proactively respond to and resolve shipment queries in a timely manner
  • Obtain relevant shipment and supplier information from online sources
  • Adhere to internal deadlines and performance standards
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the freight team

Key Skills:

  • Previous experience in freight forwarding or a similar logistics role

Role Overview

Reporting into the Ocean Freight Team Leader, the Ocean Freight Operator is responsible for the end-to-end management of import shipments, from initial booking through to final delivery.
