Summary: The role of Occupational Therapist at a new specialist neurological care home in North London involves delivering high-quality OT assessment and intervention for adults with acquired brain injury and complex neurological conditions. The position requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement person-centred rehabilitation strategies. This is an on-site role, offering a unique opportunity to shape a new service from its inception. Candidates must be HCPC registered and have recent experience in neurological settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete holistic OT assessments (ADLs, cognition/executive functioning, perception, fatigue, participation and risk)
- Develop goal-led rehab/enablement plans with residents and the MDT
- Deliver interventions including ADL retraining, cognitive strategies, graded activity and environmental adaptation
- Lead on equipment provision and functional risk assessment (including seating/posture and manual handling input where appropriate)
- Coach and train staff teams to embed OT approaches into everyday routines
- Maintain high-quality documentation, progress reviews and outcome-focused reporting
- Contribute to service development, clinical governance, audit and quality improvement
Key Skills:
- HCPC registered Occupational Therapist
- Recent experience in neurological settings (e.g., ABI, neurorehabilitation, stroke, complex neuro)
- Strong MDT working and confident clinical reasoning
- Comfortable working fully on-site (no remote/hybrid)
- Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship)
- Cognitive rehab experience and use of functional outcome measures
- Experience in inpatient neurorehab, complex disability, or specialist neuro care environments
- Experience supervising assistants/students (depending on seniority)

MedicsPro is recruiting on behalf of a leading specialist neuro provider a new specialist neurological care home in North London. This is an on-site, MDT-led service supporting adults with acquired brain injury (ABI), complex neurological conditions and neurodisability.
About the Role
This is a rare chance to join a founding MDT and help shape a brand-new specialist neuro service from launch. You’ll deliver high-quality OT assessment and intervention, working closely with Physiotherapy, SLT, Psychology, Nursing and Care Teams to embed enabling, person-centred rehabilitation into daily life.
