Key Responsibilities:

- Assess, design, and recommend major adaptations and complex equipment, including interpreting plans, preparing sketches, and producing detailed specifications
- Complete comprehensive manual handling assessments and provide clear, practical guidance for safe mobility, transfers, and positioning
- Recommend and review both standard and specialist equipment, ensuring safe use in line with legislation and policy
- Manage and prioritise a complex caseload, progressing cases efficiently through the service
- Develop and review support plans collaboratively with service users, within social care and housing legislation frameworks
- Work closely within a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care delivery
- Maintain accurate, compliant records in line with HCPC standards and organisational policies
Key Skills:
- Degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy with current HCPC registration
- Strong experience in major adaptations and complex equipment provision
- In-depth knowledge of manual handling and specialist equipment assessments
- Proven ability to carry out complex, person-centred assessments and support planning
- Sound understanding of social care legislation and housing frameworks
- Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritise complex caseloads independently
