Summary: The Occupational Health & Wellbeing Consultant role at Construction Health and Wellbeing Ltd focuses on enhancing health visibility and practices within the UK construction sector. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver consultancy services to contractors and clients, helping them assess, manage, and improve occupational health and wellbeing practices.
- Develop and implement legally defensible health surveillance programmes aligned with real risk and operational needs.
- Conduct site walkarounds, inspections and audits on key health hazards (noise, vibration, dust, manual handling, etc.).
- Provide training, coaching, and strategic advice to site teams, supervisors, and leadership.
- Support clients with aligning to ISO 45003 and other best practice frameworks for physical and mental health.
- Contribute to the development of toolkits, and guidance materials.
Key Skills:
- A background in occupational hygiene or clinical occupational health (e.g. OH Advisor, OH Nurse, Occupational Hygienist).
- Experience working in or supporting construction, civil engineering, or a similar high-risk sector.
- Confidence working independently with clients—whether that’s on site, over Teams, or facilitating workshops.
- A problem-solver who’s pragmatic, personable, and committed to making a real-world difference.
