Summary: The OAT Analyst role involves supporting a critical SCADA project within the power utility sector for a leading global organization. The position requires performing Operational Acceptance Testing to ensure system stability and compliance, working within a dynamic Agile development team. This is a 6-month contract with the potential for extension, based in Warwick with a hybrid working arrangement. The role is classified as inside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform Operational Acceptance Testing (OAT) to validate SCADA system stability, reliability, and operational compliance.
- Design, develop, and document comprehensive test cases, scenarios, and defects.
- Validate backup, failover, and disaster recovery scenarios.
- Work closely with Agile teams, including Product Owners and SCADA SMEs, to define test requirements and user stories.
- Track and report on test execution using tools like JIRA/XRAY or HP ALM.
- Identify risks and issues, contributing to their resolution through collaboration and analysis.
- Ensure alignment with defined test strategies and central test management processes.
Key Skills:
- Prior experience testing SCADA systems in a power utility environment.
- Deep understanding of SCADA architecture and communication protocols (e.g., IEC 61850, DNP3, Modbus).
- Strong experience in Operational Acceptance Testing.
- Proficiency with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, HP ALM).
- Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies.
- Excellent documentation, communication, and analytical skills.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication capabilities.
- Proven experience working across Agile teams with cross-functional responsibilities.
