Key Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of day-to-day platform operations.
- Lead the migration of servers from VMware to Nutanix.
- Provide infrastructure troubleshooting and support in production environments.
- Manage incident, change, and problem management processes.
- Offer on-call support as needed.
- Work with Nutanix clusters, AHV virtualization, and Prism management tools.
- Perform platform patching and upgrades.
- Monitor service performance and tune systems accordingly.
Key Skills:
- Strong experience with Nutanix AHV and Prism.
- Proficient in Linux and Windows Server environments.
- Experience with large-scale virtual machine environments.
- Knowledge of infrastructure troubleshooting.
- Experience in incident/change/problem management.
- Familiarity with VMware to Nutanix migrations.
- Experience with Ansible, PowerShell, or scripting.
- Ability to perform root cause analysis and infrastructure automation.

Location: Windsor, Berkshire 4 days in the office 1 from home Opportunity to work for an enterprise (2000+ employee) global software house. This role sits in their Windsor office, where you’ll be part of an experienced infrastructure team of around 8 people. They’re looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer with strong Nutanix experience to take ownership of day-to-day platform operations whilst jumping right in with a 1000+ server migration from VMware to Nutanix. So strong Nutanix experience is an absolute must for this role and ideally, you will have been part of a previous VMware to Nutanix migration project.
