Summary: The Nuclear HVAC Engineer role is focused on providing mechanical engineering expertise within the nuclear sector or other highly regulated industries. The position requires extensive experience in mechanical engineering, particularly in HVAC design and documentation. The role is hybrid, requiring two days a week in the office, and is classified as outside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide mechanical engineering support for projects in the nuclear or highly regulated industries.
  • Produce mechanical documentation and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Conduct risk analysis using tools such as HAZOP and HAZID.
  • Design and document HVAC systems as part of engineering projects.

Key Skills:

  • 10+ years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer.
  • Experience in nuclear or highly regulated industries (Defence, Oil and Gas, Pharmaceuticals).
  • Proficient in mechanical documentation production.
  • HNC minimum; HND is advantageous.
  • Experience with risk analysis tools (HAZOP, HAZID).
  • Preferable experience with HVAC design and documentation.

Salary (Rate): £50/hour

Essential Requirements:

  • 10+ years experience working as a Mechanical Engineer
  • Experience working on projects within the Nuclear or other highly regulated experience (Defence, Oil and Gas or Pharmaceuticals)
  • Proficient in the production of mechanical documentation
  • HNC minimum HND would be advantageous
  • Previous experience with risk analysis tools - HAZOP and HAZID
  • Experience with HVAC design and documentation would be preferable
