Summary: The role of NPPV3 Cleared Junior Service Management Consultant involves supporting the design and introduction of services for large-scale IT and digital transformation programmes. The consultant will work within a collaborative team to ensure services are well-defined and operationally ready. Key responsibilities include authoring Service Design Documents and engaging with stakeholders to meet acceptance criteria. An active NPPV3 clearance is required for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Service Design activities within large-scale IT or digital transformation programmes.
  • Work as part of a team of four, reporting into the Service Design & Transition Lead and collaborating closely with another Service Designer.
  • Author and maintain detailed Service Design Documents (SDDs), clearly articulating the service model, service management processes, and transition approach.
  • Progress services through formal Service Design & Introduction (SD&I) or Service Acceptance governance processes.
  • Engage with BAU service management teams and operational stakeholders to ensure all acceptance criteria are met prior to go-live.

Key Skills:

  • Experience working in a public sector environment (policing experience desirable).
  • Proven experience supporting Service Design activities within large-scale IT or digital transformation programmes.
  • Experience working within formal Service Design & Introduction (SD&I) or Service Acceptance frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of ITIL Service Management principles, particularly across Service Design, Transition, and Service Acceptance.
  • Experience producing detailed Service Design Documentation (SDDs).
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work across operational, technical, and supplier teams.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment.

We are looking for a Service Designer who will play a key role within the Service Design & Transition function, supporting the design and introduction of services for large-scale IT and digital transformation programmes. Working as part of a small, collaborative team, the role focuses on ensuring that services are well-defined, fully accepted, and operationally ready for live environments.

Key Responsibilities
Support Service Design activities within large-scale IT or digital transformation programmes.
Work as part of a team of four, reporting into the Service Design & Transition Lead and collaborating closely with another Service Designer.
Author and maintain detailed Service Design Documents (SDDs), clearly articulating the service model, service management processes, and transition approach.
