Role
You will be reporting to the Materials Manager who reports into the Head of Logistics UK & Ireland.
The Logistics Engineer is responsible for understanding the needs of the logistics business and transforming those specifics into clear and efficient solutions to support the logistics requirements.
Continuous Improvement: 5's and SPSYS to support Supply Chain continuous improvement.
Project Planning: To view bill of materials/warehouse/store stocks and assess storage mediums.
Site Demobilisation/Mobilisation: Obtain clear objectives of the requirement and have clear dates of completions.
Environmental, Safety & Health: Must insure that has adequate knowledge to follow our clients H&S programme.
Performance Management: Skills & Attributes
- Proven management skills with ability to optimise team performance
- Strong planning skills with ability to manage multiple projects
- AutoCAD skills
Performance Measurement
- Management of safety/quality/delivery/costs
- Staff matrices and objectives
- Missing parts and customer satisfaction (internal/external)
- Inventory levels and accuracy
- SAP supply chain data quality objectives are met
- Tooling and material supply
Qualifications and Experience
- Preferred but not essential - Degree or HND in relevant category.
- Good understanding of material handling equipment and automated storage systems.
- Preferred but not essential - Kaizen 2p, Waste, VSM, 5's, Quality Standards and sound EHS knowledge.
- Experience within Supply Chain, Logistics, transportation, warehouse and stores procedures with at least 3 years experience in warehouse/materials management.
