Summary: The NodeJS Engineer role involves being a key member of the Back End engineering team, focusing on the development of tooling and pipelines for data ingestion and modeling. The position requires significant experience with Node.JS and TypeScript, along with familiarity in AWS and automated testing practices. This is a hybrid role with a competitive pay rate based on experience. The contract duration is for 6 months and is classified as inside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and develop tooling and pipelines for data ingestion and modeling.
- Configure, deploy, and monitor applications and websites on AWS.
- Work collaboratively in an agile team environment.
- Utilize relational and NoSQL databases for complex queries and performance optimization.
- Implement automated testing and continuous integration and delivery practices.
Key Skills:
- Significant commercial experience with Node.JS.
- Strong commercial experience with TypeScript, ideally with ES6/7 features.
- Experience with Vue, Express, or Sequelize.
- Familiarity with web design patterns, including SOLID principles.
- Comfortable working with relational and NoSQL databases.
- Experience in a collaborative, agile team environment.
- Familiarity with automated testing and CI/CD practices.

Essential Skills:
- Must have signficant commercial experience with Node.JS
- Must have strong commercial experience with Typescript ideally with ES6/7 features
- Also experience in Vue, Express or Sequelize
- Previous experience configuring, deploying, and monitoring applications and websites on AWS.
- You're comfortable working with relational and NoSQL databases, including complex queries and performance optimisation.
- Understand web design patterns, including SOLID principle and you have experience working in a collaborative, agile team environment.
- Familiar with automated testing and continuous integration and delivery practices
