Summary: The NodeJS Engineer will play a crucial role in the Back End engineering team, focusing on the development of tooling and pipelines for data ingestion and modeling. This position requires significant experience with Node.js and JavaScript, along with familiarity in deploying applications on AWS. The role is hybrid and offers a competitive daily rate based on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain tooling and pipelines for data ingestion and modeling.
- Collaborate with the Back End engineering team in an agile environment.
- Configure, deploy, and monitor applications and websites on AWS.
- Work with relational and NoSQL databases, optimizing performance and complex queries.
- Implement automated testing and continuous integration/delivery practices.
Key Skills:
- Significant commercial experience with Node.js.
- Strong experience with JavaScript, particularly ES6/7 features.
- Experience with Vue, Express, or Sequelize.
- Familiarity with AWS for application deployment and monitoring.
- Understanding of web design patterns, including SOLID principles.
- Experience in a collaborative, agile team environment.
- Knowledge of automated testing and CI/CD practices.
