NodeJS Software Developer
Contract length - 12 months
Start date - ASAP
Location - mostly remote in England. Berkshire office day 1 to collect equipment
The client is a fast growing SaaS business. As a NodeJS Backend Developer you will focus on outcomes rather than just activity. You will own the delivery of backend features end-to-end by writing clean, well-tested code that meets a high standard of quality and performance in production.
NodeJS Software Developer - Responsibilities
- Deliver backend features end-to-end (design to delivery, production-ready code) in a fast-moving agile team
- Write scalable, high-performance server-side code in NodeJS and TypeScript
- Build and contribute to microservices; take ownership of outcomes rather than wait to be directed
- Write unit and integration tests that ensure code quality, reliability, and stability across releases
NodeJS Software Developer - Requirements
- Experience in server-side development i.e. NodeJs, TypeScript
- Familiarity with NestJS
- Experience in a fast-paced or high growth environment
- Experience with GIT, Docker, VS Code
- Experience with unit and integration testing using Jest
- Understanding of CI/CD principles.
- Experience working with SQL and/or NoSQL databases
- Strong problem solver
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
