Node.js Developer

Overview

We're looking for an experienced Node.js Developer to join a team building scalable, Real Time applications in AWS.

You'll focus on Back End development, event-driven systems, and data streaming solutions, working closely with engineers across the platform.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Strong commercial experience with Node.js and TypeScript
• Experience building APIs and microservices
• Experience with Kafka, Kinesis, or similar streaming technologies
• Strong understanding of event-driven architectures
• Hands-on AWS experience
• Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases
• Familiarity with CI/CD and modern development practices

Desirable Skills

• React development experience
• Kubernetes or Terraform exposure
• GraphQL experience
• Experience with high-volume, Real Time systems

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Back End services using Node.js and TypeScript
• Build scalable APIs and data streaming solutions
• Develop cloud-native applications on AWS
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software
• Contribute to code reviews, testing, and engineering best practices
• Optimise application performance, scalability, and reliability
