Night Shift Manager - Mechanical - Energy from Waste

Summary: The Night Shift Manager role involves overseeing mechanical works during the night shift for a large-scale European Engineering and Construction company on a 2-3 month contract in Scotland. The position requires strong leadership in managing construction activities while ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise all mechanical construction activities on site during the night shift.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, environmental, and quality (HSEQ) standards at all times.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and site supervisors to manage workflow, resolve issues, and ensure progress against schedule.
• Monitor installation of mechanical equipment, piping systems, conveyors, boilers, and pressure parts specific to EfW technology.
• Review and interpret mechanical drawings, method statements, and risk assessments.
• Conduct nightly toolbox talks, inspections, and shift handovers.
• Report any incidents, delays, or non-conformances to the Day Shift Manager and Project Team.
• Maintain accurate shift records, progress updates, and HSE documentation.
• Ensure plant and equipment are operated safely and maintained correctly.
