Summary: Carousel Logistics is seeking a Night Network Operations Supervisor to oversee the receipt and redistribution of freight across the UK. The role involves leading a team, ensuring compliance with safety and operational procedures, and enhancing service quality for clients. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high accuracy. This position is integral to the company's logistics operations and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervising the Receipt, Movement & Sortation of freight.
- Working to site safety, health, environmental, security and quality procedures and associated policies.
- Ensuring all transacting activity in line with DANX Carousel procedures.
- Capturing of variation and escalating as required in line with company process.
- Ability to follow and instruct others in standard operating procedures.
- Lead and motivate a team, conduct regular team briefings, training where appropriate and 121’s.
- Operate and use Mobile Plant, Mechanical lifting and handling equipment properly and safely.
- Ensure MHE/FLT’s are safe and compliant.
- Ensure housekeeping is carried out on site.
- Support continuous improvement of the overall operation.
- Promote a team working ethic across all activities.
- Support all partners responding in a timely manner and providing solutions for any blockers.
- Supporting Client services with any queries and promoting a thorough and accurate de-brief.
Key Skills:
- Hold a current full driving licence.
- Strong reading, writing and mathematical skills.
- Clear communication skills with focus and attention to detail.
- Capability to problem solve in a pressurised environment.
- Computer Literate (Excel, Word, Power Point).
- Previous experience team leading or supervising.
- Forklift License.
- Experience using Excel would be advantageous.

As a Network Operations Supervisor, you will play a key role centred around the receipt and a re-distribution of freight across the UK. Freight is received from both within the UK and Europe sorted, organised, and loaded into network specific requirements. Your role influences and effects the service Carousel provides to its key clients. The ideal Supervisor will lead and motivate their team, work to a high accuracy, at pace whilst maintaining a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervising the Receipt, Movement & Sortation of freight.
- Working to site safety, health, environmental, security and quality procedures and associated policies, ensuring work is completed safely in line with organisations risk assessments and safety management system.
- Ensuring all transacting activity in line with DANX Carousel procedures. This includes using digital devices, systems, and business processes.
- Capturing of variation and escalating as required in line with company process
- Ability to follow and instruct others in standard operating procedures and work in a methodical, logical manner, ensuring compliance with contractual targets.
- Lead and motivate a team, conduct regular team briefings, training where appropriate and 121’s.
- Operate and use Mobile Plant, Mechanical lifting and handling equipment properly and safely
- Ensure MHE/FLT’s are safe and compliant for example: Maintained and checked (incl MHE, Pump Trucks & Conveyor)
- Ensure housekeeping is carried out on site.
- Embrace and aim to add value supporting the continuous improvement of the overall operation
- Promote a team working ethic across all activities.
- Ability to work with others co-operatively and flexibly within a team to achieve a collective goal.
- Support all partner’s responding in a timely manner and providing solutions for any blockers the business may have encountered.
- Supporting Client services with any queries and promoting a thorough and accurate de-brief to be completed enabling better client visibility and service
Skills and Qualifications:
