Summary: Our client is seeking a Network Test Engineer for an immediate start, offering a hybrid working arrangement across multiple sites in the South East, including Farnborough, Bath, Oxford, Warwick, and Birmingham. The role is outside IR35 with a daily rate of £275 and requires candidates to hold or be eligible for SC clearance. The initial contract duration is three months, with occasional travel to a customer site in Newbury.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create test scripts from Test Plans / Low Level Designs for Network infrastructure (Routers / switches / firewalls)
- Understand Test phases purposes: Unit, System Integration, Functional, Non-Functional, Disaster recovery, Operation Acceptance
- Import test cases to ALM and link to requirements
- Collect Test execution evidence, Reporting execution / defect in ALM
- Set up network test equipment for RFC 2544 testing
Key Skills:
- Cisco Switch / Router console commands
- Handling Fibre optic cables
- Understanding of Data Centre operating procedures
- Network and Service Management tool set (e.g. StableNet)
- ALM Test case management, Defect Management, Reporting
