Summary: The Network Test Analyst role is a contract position based in the UK, focused on supporting the transition and transformation of Critical National Infrastructure (CNI) network connectivity. Key Responsibilities:
- Support the transition and transformation of CNI network connectivity.
- Create test scripts from Test Plans and Low Level Designs for network infrastructure.
- Set up network test equipment for RFC 2544 testing.
- Interpret network infrastructure design from High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD).
- Manage test cases and defects using ALM.
- Collect test execution evidence and report defects in ALM.
- Engage in a wide range of domains including LAN, WiFi, Data Centre, and Cloud services.
Key Skills:
- Practical skills in Cisco Switch/Router console commands.
- Experience handling fibre optic cables.
- Understanding of Data Centre operating procedures.
- Knowledge of Network and Service Management tools (e.g., StableNet).
- ISTQB Foundation certification.
- At least five years of experience in a relevant role.
- Ability to create and manage test scripts and cases.
- Understanding of various test phases (Unit, System Integration, Functional, etc.).

Role Purpose
Test Analyst Role has to be based in the UK and can start to gain SC clearance or has SC clearance already. The role is to support a Programme in the transition & transformation of Critical National Infrastructure (CNI) network connectivity. Any experience of working on National Grid would be advantageous but not essential.
Practical Skills
- Cisco Switch / Router console commands.
- Handling Fibre optic cables.
- Understanding of Data Centre operating procedures.
- Set up network test equipment for RFC 2544 testing.
- Network and Service Management tool set (e.g. StableNet) Knowledge.
- Interpret Network infrastructure design from HLD/LLD.
ALM Test case management, Defect Management, Reporting.
Test Analyst Skills
- Create test scripts from Test Plans / Low Level Designs for Network infrastructure (Routers / switches / firewalls).
- Understand Test phases purposes: Unit, System Integration, Functional, Non-Functional, Disaster recovery, Operation Acceptance).
- Import test cases to ALM and link to requirements.
- Collect Test execution evidence, Reporting execution / defect in ALM.
Experience and Professional Qualifications
- ISTQB Foundation certification.
- At least five years of experience in a relevant role.
- Must possess or be eligible for security clearance at the time of identification.
