Summary: The Network Telephony Manager will oversee the network infrastructure and resources necessary for delivering digital services and products, aligning with the Council's corporate objectives. This role involves planning, developing, and supporting network services, particularly in the transition from PSTN to VoIP. The position is contract-based and requires extensive experience in network telephony management, particularly within a local authority context.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain overall network plans to support the Council's business strategy, agree service level agreements with business users.
  • Plan all aspects of the infrastructure necessary to ensure provision of voice and data network services to meet such agreements.
  • Support the council's evaluation and migration from PSTN to VoIP networking, ensuring all assets are mapped and transitioned in line with industry standards.
  • Responsible for network specification and design. Produce network design policies, philosophies and criteria covering connectivity, capacity, interfacing, security, resilience, recovery, access and remote access.

Key Skills:

  • Extensive experience in Network Telephony management.
  • Experience in migrating PSTN to VoIP is highly desired.
  • Agile, Evergreen service experience.
  • Local Authority experience is essential.

Salary (Rate): £480
