Summary: The Network Security Engineer Level 3 role focuses on implementing and managing network security measures, particularly involving Firewall configurations and changes. The position requires solid experience in networking environments and troubleshooting security-related issues while collaborating with vendors and carriers. The role is hybrid, requiring three days a week in the London office, and is classified as inside IR35 for a duration of 12 months.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement Firewall change requests and related L2/L3 Router changes.
• Create and install Checkpoint objects for initial Firewall policy.
• Build and configure Firewall devices (Checkpoint, Juniper, Cisco).
• Build and configure Proxies and IDS.
• Provide troubleshooting in security environments, fault escalation, and connectivity issues.
• Liaise with carriers and vendors for installations.

Key Skills:

• Solid industry experience in networking with an emphasis on Network Security.
• Networking technology skills and understanding of cross-platform technologies.
• Experience with Checkpoint, Juniper, and Cisco Firewalls.
• Certified security engineer (CCSE or comparable).
• Certified technical engineer (Cisco CCNP or comparable).
• Understanding of loop prevention protocols and troubleshooting routing protocols.
• Experience with Linux/UNIX.
• Knowledge of troubleshooting IOS/operating systems and CatOS.
• Understanding of trunking protocols and Firewalls deployment architecture.
• Good understanding of ITIL and service management principles.
• Strong experience with change request management systems and network monitoring tools.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills in English.
• Ability to work in virtual global teams in a Matrix organization.
