Summary: The Network & Security Architect role is a contract position focused on defining and owning the network and security architecture for enterprise environments. The architect will design secure and scalable network solutions, act as a technical authority, and support major transformation initiatives. This position requires strong stakeholder communication skills and a deep understanding of network security controls. The role is hybrid, requiring three days a week on-site in London.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and own end-to-end network and security architecture across enterprise environments
- Design secure, scalable, and resilient network solutions aligned with business and regulatory requirements
- Act as a technical authority on network and security design, providing guidance to engineering and operations teams
- Lead architectural reviews, technology selection, and standards definition
- Ensure architectures align with security best practices, risk management, and zero-trust principles
- Support major transformation initiatives, including cloud, data center, and network modernization programs
- Engage with vendors and partners, evaluating and integrating new technologies
Key Skills:
- Proven experience in network and security architecture within large-scale, complex environments
- CCIE-level knowledge and capability (certification preferred but not mandatory if demonstrable experience exists)
- Strong enterprise experience with Infoblox, including DNS, DHCP, and IPAM
- Experience must be referenceable or demonstrable in an enterprise context
- Deep understanding of routing, switching, firewalls, load balancing, and network security controls
- Strong stakeholder communication skills, with the ability to explain complex designs to both technical and non-technical audiences
