Summary: The Network Security Architect role involves designing and enhancing security systems for a digital transformation consultancy. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and improve security systems using tools like Illumio, VMware NSX, or similar.
- Manage firewall rules and security policies across different vendors (e.g., Palo Alto, Cisco, Check Point, Fortinet).
- Apply Zero Trust security principles to protect networks and systems.
- Work with VLAN segmentation, Software-Defined Networking (SDN), and cloud security tools.
- Secure cloud and hybrid environments, including Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Conduct risk assessments and develop security solutions.
- Create and document security models to ensure automation and efficiency.
- Automate security tasks using Terraform, Python, and security platforms like SOAR and SIEM.
- Follow security regulations like NIST, CIS, ISO 27001, and PCI-DSS.
- Collaborate with security, network, DevOps, and compliance teams to improve security practices.
