Summary: The Network NAC Consultant role involves gathering and analyzing requirements for Network Access Control solutions, focusing on user, device, and application access. The position requires collaboration with various teams to support NAC policy design and ensure compliance with security frameworks. The consultant will also document integrations and assist with operational readiness for NAC rollouts. This is a contract position based in Knutsford, Cheshire, UK, with a requirement for three days of on-site work each week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather and analyse requirements for Network Access Control (NAC) solutions.
- Map user, device, and application access use cases.
- Define onboarding, authentication, authorization, and posture assessment flows.
- Collaborate with security, network, and identity teams.
- Support NAC policy design aligned to Zero Trust principles.
- Analyse impacts to wired, wireless, and VPN access.
- Document NAC integrations (AD, MDM, PKI, SIEM).
- Support NAC rollouts, upgrades, and compliance initiatives.
- Assist with operational readiness and change management.
- Translate security requirements into clear business outcomes.
Key Skills:
- Experience with NAC platforms (Forescout, Cisco ISE, Aruba ClearPass).
- Understanding of 802.1X, RADIUS, certificates, and device profiling.
- Exposure to security frameworks (Zero Trust, NIST).
- Experience working in regulated environments.
