Summary: The Network Engineer – SC Cleared position is a contract role based in Berkshire, requiring active SC clearance. Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, configure, and deploy network solutions (LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN) to meet business requirements.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure uptime and efficiency.
- Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and access controls.
- Maintain accurate network diagrams, configurations, and operational procedures.
- Work closely with IT teams and vendors to support infrastructure projects and resolve escalated issues.
- Perform regular updates and patches to network hardware and software.
- Respond to network outages and security incidents promptly and effectively.
Key Skills:
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP).
- Experience with network hardware (Cisco, Juniper, or similar).
- Familiarity with firewalls and security appliances.
- Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios).
- Familiarity with cloud networking (AWS, Azure) is a plus.
- Relevant certifications (CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent).
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
Design & Implementation:
