Summary: The Network Engineer role involves managing and deploying network solutions across over 50 sites in Scotland, focusing on SD-WAN implementation, LAN hardware/software upgrades, and Wi-Fi system enhancements. Key Responsibilities:
- Deploy SD-WAN solutions to 50+ sites.
- Upgrade LAN hardware/software across the estate.
- Triage site failures and manage network issues.
- Upgrade Wi-Fi systems, including new controllers and access points.
- Participate in additional projects related to F5, data center movement, and VPN changes.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience with Cisco equipment (2960X/XR, 4500, 9000 series, Nexus Switches).
- Recognized network certification is ideal.
- Knowledge of troubleshooting physical network site infrastructure.
- Experience in building, managing, and maintaining high availability networks with Cisco devices.
- Working knowledge of Cisco Networking, Unified Communications, WLC, F5 VPN, F5 Silverline/XC, IPsec tunnel, and Palo Alto Firewalls.
- Experience with network monitoring solutions and designing load balancing services.
