Network Engineer - MNC Investment Bank

Key Responsibilities:

• Authoring design documents, engineering standards, and creating best practice technical architecture models.
• Mentoring and knowledge transfer to team members across the organization.
• Participating in weekly design meetings.
• Engaging with project managers to develop execution and test plans for network changes.
• Serving as an escalation point for operating teams during network outages.

Key Skills:

• 5-7 years of experience with a Financial Services Firm, Technology vendor, or systems integrator.
• Knowledge of Ethernet technologies: SPT, 802.1Q, Multilayer Switching; Leaf-Spine IP Fabric.
• IP Routing: OSPF, BGP, TCP/IP.
• Multicast routing: PIM, IGMP, MSDP.
• Platform knowledge on Cisco and Arista Switching & Routing Platforms.
• Working knowledge of various Network OS: Cisco IOS, IOS-XE, NXOS, IOS-XR, Arista EOS.
• Ability to use Microsoft applications such as Visio, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Proficient in UNIX or Linux.
• Certifications: CCNP or equivalent (not mandatory).
• Experience with scripting/automation using Python/Ansible is a strong plus.
• Tools: Wireshark, Infoblox, HPNA, Splunk, Sevone, Ansible, Netconf is a plus.
• Strong sense of security concepts including defense in depth and zero-trust networking.
• Flexible and adaptable to meet team targets.
• Honest, hardworking, and reliable with a strong sense of ownership/accountability.
• Ability to work independently and as a team member with strong presentation skills.
• Strong security focus and experience with Network Security Concepts and Multi-tier Security architectures.
