Summary: We are looking for an experienced Network Engineer to work onsite in Stevenage, focusing on on-premises networking and enterprise-grade hardware. The role requires strong troubleshooting skills and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure network performance and security. Candidates must be self-starters with a proven track record in complex environments and be willing to undergo Security Clearance. This position is classified as inside IR35 with a daily rate of £700.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and support on-premises network infrastructure
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues across switching, routing, and firewall layers
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain network performance and security
- Provide documentation and support for ongoing network changes and upgrades
Key Skills:
- Proven track record as a Network Engineer in complex environments
- Strong knowledge of on-prem networking, including: Layer 2/3 switching and routing, VLANs, VPNs, BGP, OSPF
- Network segmentation and high availability design
- Hands-on experience with Cisco network equipment (CCNP level or equivalent knowledge preferred)
- Good working knowledge of Fortinet (FortiGate) and Palo Alto Networks firewalls
- Comfortable operating independently and proactively solving problems

Additional Information:
Must be able to commit to full-time onsite presence (5 days a week) in Stevenage
Role is inside IR35 - £700/day
This role will require you to have or be willing to go through Security Clearance.
