Network Engineer - Infrastructure/Devops

Summary: The Network Engineer - Infrastructure/DevOps role involves leading the design, implementation, and operation of enterprise network infrastructure services with a focus on hybrid cloud networking solutions. The position requires strong expertise in network security, automation, and collaboration with architecture and engineering teams to ensure service resilience. Candidates must have extensive experience in large-scale network infrastructure and hold active SC Clearance. The role is hybrid, with a preference for candidates located in Newcastle, Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham, or Blackpool.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, implementation, and operation of enterprise network infrastructure services
• Manage and optimise backlogs, automation, and infrastructure reliability improvements
• Design secure and scalable hybrid cloud networking solutions (AWS, Azure, OCI)
• Implement and support network security, SD-WAN, and Zero Trust architectures
• Work closely with architecture and engineering teams to ensure service resilience and performance
• Drive automation using modern DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines

Key Skills:

• Strong experience in large-scale network infrastructure design, build, and operations
• Expertise in BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, EVPN, VRF segmentation
• Hands-on experience with SD-WAN and NGFW (Palo Alto preferred)
• Strong knowledge of F5 Load Balancing (LTM, APM, ASM, BIG-IP)
• Experience in cloud networking (AWS/Azure/OCI)
• Automation experience using Python, Ansible, GitLab CI/CD
• Experience with Aruba Central and ClearPass
• Proven experience in network project delivery and production environments
• Active SC Clearance required

Salary (Rate): £650 Per Day
