Summary: The Network Engineer role involves designing, configuring, and deploying Meraki network solutions while ensuring high availability and security. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience with Meraki products and strong troubleshooting skills, particularly in TCP/IP and routing protocols. Excellent customer-facing abilities and project delivery experience are essential, as the position requires on-site presence certain days each week in the North West. This contract position is classified as outside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, configure, and deploy Meraki network solutions, including Meraki MX, MS, MR, and MV series.
- Manage and optimize Meraki network infrastructure for high availability, performance, and security.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, with a primary focus on Meraki technologies.
- Manage and configure routing protocols such as OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP to ensure network reliability.
- Provide technical support for customer-facing projects, including network migrations and upgrades.
- Ensure thorough documentation of network configurations, topologies, and project progress.
- Offer clear communication and technical guidance to customers, delivering tailored network solutions.
- Work with the team to ensure network troubleshooting, optimization, and implementation projects are delivered on time.
Key Skills:
- Extensive experience working with Meraki network solutions (Meraki MX, MS, MR, and MV series).
- Meraki certifications (such as Meraki Network Associate or Meraki Network Professional) are highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, including addressing, subnetting, and troubleshooting.
- Solid experience with routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP).
- Excellent troubleshooting skills, with the ability to resolve complex network issues effectively.
- Experience in a customer-facing role, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage and support network deployment projects from start to finish.
