Summary: The Network Engineer role focuses on configuring and managing Palo Alto Networks firewalls within an Agile team, ensuring effective deployment and troubleshooting of firewall rules for new Azure platforms. Key Responsibilities:
- Configure firewall rules for new Landing Zones on Palo Alto NGFW.
- Troubleshoot issues on Palo Alto firewalls.
- Manage Palo Alto firewalls through Panorama.
- Deploy Firewall with IPS, App-ID, URL filtering features.
- Perform planning, designing, deployment, integration, and monitoring of firewall devices.
- Manage firewall releases, including upgrades of firewall images.
- Apply emergency rules on firewalls in case of security incidents.
- Maintain Firewall devices and management consoles.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience in configuring, designing, implementing, and managing Palo Alto Networks firewalls at an enterprise level.
- Hands-on experience with Palo Alto firewall integration with Panorama.
- Basic understanding of Azure or other public cloud environments.
- Good understanding of networking concepts.
- Palo Alto Network & Azure certification is a plus.
- Technical soundness and certification equivalent to CCNP Security.
- Experience in managing migration, transformation, and implementation projects.
- 5-12 years of experience in managing Palo Alto and Cisco firewalls.
