Summary: The Network Engineer role involves designing, implementing, and supporting secure network architectures primarily using Fortinet and Cisco technologies. The position requires managing SD-WAN and firewall deployments, configuring Cisco Nexus switches, and providing support for wireless LAN infrastructure. Additionally, the engineer will conduct security assessments, collaborate with various teams, and resolve complex network issues while maintaining comprehensive documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and support secure network architectures across Fortinet and Cisco platforms.
- Deploy and manage Fortinet SD-WAN and Fortinet Firewalls (e.g., FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer).
- Configure and maintain Cisco Nexus switches in data center environments.
- Provide support for Cisco Wireless LAN infrastructure including access points and controllers.
- Perform routing and switching tasks involving BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLANs, and trunking.
- Conduct firewall and network security assessments, ensuring compliance with organizational policies.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and application teams on secure network designs and troubleshooting.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve complex network issues across WAN, LAN, and WLAN environments.
- Create and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams and configuration guides.
- Participate in on-call support rotation and change management processes.
