Summary: The Network Engineer role is a 5-month contract position based in Shrewsbury, requiring hands-on experience with RADIUS authentication systems and Aruba networking technologies. The successful candidate will support ongoing network delivery tasks and contribute to the deployment and maintenance of network infrastructure. Responsibilities include configuring network components, monitoring performance, and ensuring compliance with security policies. Immediate start is available for a results-driven individual with strong problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out BAU network delivery tasks, including patching cables and installing/configuring network Switches to ensure infrastructure readiness.
  • Configure and maintain RADIUS authentication protocols to ensure secure network access.
  • Implement and manage Access Control Lists (ACLs) to support secure connectivity for pathology analyser systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of network components.
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations and changes.
  • Ensure compliance with security policies and industry best practices.

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Network Engineer in enterprise environments.
  • Hands-on expertise with RADIUS authentication systems.
  • Experience with Aruba networking solutions (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of network protocols, switch configuration, and ACL management.
  • Familiarity with physical network setup including cable patching and hardware installation.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Salary (Rate): £400 daily

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Network Engineer to support ongoing business-as-usual (BAU) network delivery tasks and contribute to the successful deployment and maintenance of network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience with RADIUS authentication systems and Aruba networking technologies, along with a strong understanding of physical and logical network configurations.

Your responsibilities as a Network Engineer:

  • Carry out BAU network delivery tasks, including patching cables and installing/configuring network Switches to ensure infrastructure readiness.
