Summary: The role of Network Engineer involves designing, installing, and maintaining low voltage cable infrastructure systems for a leading healthcare organization. This hybrid position requires extensive experience in cabling systems and collaboration with various teams on infrastructure projects. The contract duration is 22 months, and the role is based in Southern California. Candidates must possess strong communication skills and relevant technical certifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design TR spaces based on building size and IT requirements.
- Determine HVAC size based on IT equipment specifications.
- Size UPS and design pathways based on IT requirements.
- Develop cabling SOW for backbone and horizontal cabling.
- Conduct site assessments and utilize schematic design and estimation tools.
- Create IT design development and construction documents for engineering follow-up.
- Prepare cabling SOWs for IT and regulatory device connectivity.
- Utilize engineering software packages such as Bluebeam, AutoCAD, and Solidworks.
- Consult with multiple groups on infrastructure projects.
- Perform on-site quality inspections and create ICE documents for projects.
- Assess and recommend updates for outdated or over capacity spaces.
Key Skills:
- 10+ years of experience in low voltage cable infrastructure systems.
- Manufacturer-specific experience and/or certifications (e.g., Commscope, BICSI, Panduit).
- Strong comprehension of cabling infrastructure terminology for telecom, data, security, and wireless systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with engineering software packages (Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Solidworks).
