Summary: The Identity and Access Management (IAM) Engineer role focuses on designing, implementing, and optimizing IAM solutions using IBM Security Identity Manager (ISIM). The position requires expertise in Java development for integrating and customizing IAM tools to ensure secure access controls and compliance across enterprise systems. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance IAM architecture and maintain security best practices. This contract role is set to run until December 30, 2025, and is classified as inside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement IAM solutions using IBM Security Identity Manager (ISIM) for user provisioning and role-based access control (RBAC).
- Develop and maintain Java-based applications for IAM integrations, including custom connectors and workflows.
- Integrate ISIM with third-party identity providers and enterprise applications.
- Enforce IAM security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Identify and resolve IAM-related issues, optimizing workflows and system performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive IAM solutions.
- Stay current with IAM trends and contribute to the evolution of IAM architecture.
Key Skills:
- Strong expertise in IAM tools (e.g., IBM Security Identity Manager, Ping Identity).
- Experience with IAM protocols (LDAP, SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect).
- Hands-on experience with IAM administration and configuration.
- Proficiency in Java and related frameworks (Spring, Hibernate).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Apaas, GCP).
- Experience with enterprise-level IAM projects in complex environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborative work.
