Summary: The role of Network Security Engineer involves supporting a Data Center consolidation project and ongoing security operations primarily in the UK. Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain security solutions in line with corporate standards.
  • Configure, troubleshoot, and optimize firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Prisma, Zscaler).
  • Design and administer Zero Trust policies, network segmentation, and security rules.
  • Manage IDS/IPS, NAC, WAF, and apply system patches/updates.
  • Collaborate with IT leadership, security teams, and service providers to ensure timely delivery of security services.
  • Identify automation opportunities and maintain SOPs for security solutions.

Key Skills:

  • 5+ years’ experience in network security roles.
  • Strong expertise in firewall management and intrusion detection/prevention.
  • Deep knowledge of L2–L7 protocols, ACLs, routing, and security protocols.
  • Experience with NGFW, NAC, IDS/IPS, and SSL inspection.
  • Basic scripting skills; certifications such as PCNSA, SANS GCIH preferred.

About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Network Security Engineer to support a Data Center consolidation project and ongoing security operations across Europe, with a focus on UK offices.
