Key Skills:

  • Extensive experience with Palo Alto Firewalls and secure network design principles such as Zero Trust.
  • Experience with data centre network architectures including VXLAN/EVPN, VRF segmentation, multi-site fabrics and vendors such as Arista or equivalent.
  • Experience with load balancing technologies such as F5 BIG-IP (LTM/APM/ASM).
  • Network automation experience using Python, Ansible or similar tooling, plus exposure to version control and CI/CD such as GitLab CI/CD.
  • Experience applying an Infrastructure as Code mindset, for example with Terraform.
  • Strong working experience with at least one major cloud provider (Azure, AWS or OCI) and hybrid cloud network integration.

Network Engineer - NetDevOps - Public Sector - SC Clearance - North East England (Hybrid 3 days onsite)

I am working with a Public Sector client in North East England looking for a hands-on Network Engineer/NetDevOps Engineer as part of a major transformation programme. The role can be based across various locations but flexibility to work 3 days onsite is expected.

Due to the urgency and nature of the client, candidates who hold active SC clearance will be preferred.

This NetDevOps Engineer role focuses on engineering and evolving enterprise network platforms across data centre, hybrid, and cloud environments. You'll apply automation and modern network engineering practices to deliver secure, resilient connectivity for critical services. The work is hands-on engineering role, with responsibility for design and build rather than operations, monitoring, or incident-only activity.
